Staatstheater Nürnberg

Import/Export-Café

The Import/Export Café is a format for encounters on the 3rd floor of the Theatre. The café welcomes loyal fans of drama, first-time visitors, neighbours, visionaries and any other interested individuals. People with a history of migration and displacement are welcome!

The Import/Export Café is a space for open exchange of ideas and opinions, where the discussion topics of the international Import/Export weekends are enlarged on. Let’s talk about theatre and its role in a multifaceted, multicultural city, about plays and subjects explored in the current calendar of performances and about pressing themes relevant to our culturally diverse society!

Be it sitting in on rehearsals or attending background discussions, workshops, performances or lectures with in-house artists or guest performers, each monthly import/export café is an exciting opportunity to engage in interesting conversations, look at things from a different angle and broaden one’s horizons. The programme is drawn up in partnership with Nuremberg-based associations and initiatives.

The Import/Export Café takes place once a month, at 6 pm on a weekday. Admission is free.
