No one should need money! Property is wrong! Gospodin has his principles …and a llama, his one piece of capital – although Greenpeace stole that from him. And Anette took his bed with her when she moved out. Oh, and Hermann has gone off with his amplifier and Norbert has nicked his TV for an art project. They’re all offering him tips and bits of work and help in how to adapt to a capitalist reality. But Gospodin is a contrarian – even when a bag of money appears and chaos ensues.
Philipp Löhle’s uproarious debut from 2007 depicts a grotesque attempt to exist free of money and property in a world ruled by capitalism. Jan Philipp Gloger looks back on his production at the Bayerisches Staatsschauspiel, with which he launched his career as a director.
Geld darf nicht nötig sein! Jedweder Besitz ist abzulehnen! Gospodin hat da seine Prinzipien. Und ein Lama, seine Lebensgrundlage – das hat aber Greenpeace eingesackt. Sein Bett hat Anette aus der ehemals gemeinsamen Wohnung mitgenommen, Hermann leiht sich in seiner Abwesenheit den Verstärker aus und Norbert den Fernseher für ein Kunstprojekt. Sie alle „helfen“ ihm mit Jobs, Ratschlägen, Integrationsangeboten in die kapitalistische Realität. Aber Gospodin ist ein Verweigerer. Auch, als eine Tasche voller Geld auftaucht und alles durcheinanderbringt.
Philipp Löhles herrlich komisches Erstlingswerk von 2007 erzählt die Groteske, die entsteht, wenn wir mitten im Kapitalismus versuchen, ohne Geld und Besitz zu leben. Jan Philipp Gloger blickt von heute auf seine Inszenierung am Bayerischen Staatsschauspiel, mit der er seinen Weg als Regisseur begann.
