Libretto by Jacopo Ferretti

In Italian with German and English surtitles

The hearts of ladies far and wide are all a-flutter, because Prince Ramiro, the most eligible bachelor in the land, is on the lookout for a bride. He has contrived a way of identifying a suitable princess. Clorinda and Tisbe, the attractive but catty daughters of the financially strapped Don Magnifico, are gearing themselves for the big day, assisted by Angelina, their sweet-natured stepsister. The modest prince switches roles with his brash servant, Dandini, hoping to see inner beauty beneath the surface. So it is that Cinderella wins out over the other candidates. But how much room is there for integrity in a world where appearances are what matter?

Press reviews
BR Klassik

„Hier erlebt man Ensembletheater vom Feinsten. (...)
