Mrs Bennet has five daughters. The problem is: they are all unmarried. Thanks to an inheritance system devised by wise men, the only way to safeguard the existence of the family is for one of the daughters to marry a man of means. Enter Charles Bingley: young, rich, handsome – and single. And it is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, MUST be in want of a wife. So, to arms! For matrimony’s sake the Bennet daughters are fully up to riding a flamingo through the storm of the century. And luck seems to be with them, as long as Mary doesn’t start singing. Elizabeth is alone among the daughters in pooh-poohing all this, especially the strange Mr. Darcy, whom she dislikes from the outset. But in the end, love wins the day. How could it be otherwise?
Jane Austen’s famous novel as a crazy, music-laced pop comedy narrated in a tongue-in-cheek way by five women sharing a total of eighteen roles.

Press reviews

Uwe Mitsching, Bayerische Staatszeitung
