Antonín Dvořák: Symphonie Nr. 9 op. 95 „Aus der neuen Welt“

Bartóks 2. Violinkonzert ist eines der anspruchsvollsten Werke des ungarischen Komponisten. Sein Grundprinzip ist die permanente Variation weniger Grundthemen. Zwar fügt sich Bartók noch in die traditionelle Form des Solokonzerts, bricht unter dieser Hülle aber zu neuen musikalischen Ufern auf. Neue Ufer suchte auch Dvořák in den USA, wohin man ihn eingeladen hatte, um an einer neuen amerikanischen Nationalmusik mitzuschaffen. In seiner 9. Symphonie verbindet er amerikanische Einflüsse mit der Musik seiner tschechischen Heimat zu einem unwiderstehlichen Orchesterstück.
