Born in New York, Nancy Haeyung Bae was educated at the Parsons School of Design and has spent most of her life designing new creations. She was co-founderin of the brand aulle and became Engaged by JCrew, Gap, Isabel Toleda and Theory among others. For seven years she has worked closely with the artistic director of the Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet. She was also responsible for the costume designs for many productions, including the Detroit Institute of Arts Gala dance installations, the Georgio Armani Young Artists Awards at the Guggenheim Museum in New York, and costumes designed by choreographers Crystal Pite and Alexander Ekman. Nancy Haeyung Bae has developed a great passion for dance over the years and is convinced that with her costume designs she is basically committed to the movement, that a concrete connection to the dance influences her working process. This shows her creative skill in her designs and artistic visions. She is currently Senior Director of Design at Gap Inc. She is responsible for the costumes of Alexander Ekman's choreography "Tuplet", which is performed within the three-part evening "Powerhouse" at the Staatstheater Nürnberg.
