In this series, which started in 2014, the new generation of renowned dance directors put together debuts for the Nuremberg ensemble. To start, Goyo Montero invites three young choreographers to create pieces that reflect our times. Vittoria Girelli of Italy dances at the Stuttgarter Ballett and makes a name for herself by choreographing for the companies in Stuttgart and Zurich, among others. Ethan Colangelo from Canada has already created a diverse range of works and is currently enjoying great success in his residence at the National Ballet of Canada. For the first time, the Staatstheater Nürnberg is working with the International Choreographic Competition Hannover. This year’s winner selected by Goyo Montero will have the opportunity to create a new piece with the Staatstheater Nürnberg Ballett.
