A space for everyone who wants to play, talk, celebrate, learn and get involved. Artists convene with political collectives, creatives meet with the curious, music mingles with lectures, table tennis meets parties. We cook, discuss, laugh, experiment and talk together. There are residencies, shows, workshops, quiz nights and spontaneous events from concerts to table tennis tournaments. This is a place where ideas flow, connections are formed and the city comes together.
Open stage, open conversations, open ideas, all in the heart of the city. Yalla Yalla means the Nachtetage as well as workshops on rehearsal stages, it means our new monthly "Not Too Late Night Show" in the Kammerspiele and multilingual solo evenings by our ensemble members, it means cooperation with local partners and interactive use of the foyer. Yalla Yalla means all the stories we share when we talk before or after the show. It is a variety of meeting places that we wish to open with, by and for you. The Schauspielhaus is to become a place for various communities within our city, an active and shared meeting point and social hub. Come by, get involved and make it your space. Yalla Yalla*!
* Yalla is a word filled with energy and motion. In Arabic it essentially means, "let's go!" or "let's get started!" It is an expression of emergence, urgency and joint movement forward.

NACHTETAGE
Thank God it’s Friday! Come what may, you can always bet on the Nachtetage every Friday evening at 10! It is a place of experimentation, music, discussion, debate and celebration in alternating formats, always with new people and the best audience in town! Simply come to the Schauspielhaus, take two sets of stairs up and be met with new, unusual and creative things on the theatre's most beautiful mini-stage. Every week there is a new way to start the weekend! Admission is free!
NOT TOO LATE NIGHT SHOW
Everyone talks about the weather, but we talk about Nuremberg! Our monthly show for prime time combines serious talk-show with serious chit-chat. Two hosts, one studio band, a monthly alternating roster of guests from Nuremberg society and an entirely overwhelmed editorial staff will ask every month: What moves our city? We want to share different opinions together, not resort to irony when it comes to our topic of the month and not cheat when we play studio games. All are welcome, all are included! One Thursday each month is reserved for our Not Too Late Night Show at the Kammerspiele!
YALLA YALLA MEETS
At "Yalla Yalla Meets", we hand over the stage: participants from Nuremberg organise the evening themselves and bring along topics, perspectives and artistic forms that are important to them. This creates a space for new voices, perspectives and questions that are currently coming to the fore in the city.
GUCK CLUB
"Wow, that was good." "The set design was lost on me." "Why was he naked?" "They emoted so strongly!"
Going to the theatre and talking about it isn't so easy. This is why we often need to share our thoughts, hear what others have seen, what signs up on the stage were interpreted in what manner. At the same time, there may be the fear of saying something incorrect, of having misunderstood something, or ruffling feathers with one's taste. The Guck Club hopes to change this and encourage discussions on an even footing. On select dates that can be found in the respective monthly calendar, a dramatic director will be available in the 3. Etage following the performance for a casual discussion of what you have seen on stage.
For audience members of any age, with or without theatre experience. Participation on individual dates is possible, it is not a cohesive series.
PUBLIC REHEARSALS
How do rehearsals actually work? Does the director give instructions the entire time, or is there room for improv? How much progress has the production made in four weeks? Does everyone know the entire script by heart? We invite you to gain insight into our rehearsal process on specific dates and to watch how a production is made.
INTRODUCTIONS, FOLLOW-UP DISCUSSIONS, PERFORMANCES WITH SUPERTITLES AND AUDIO DESCRIPTIONS
Theatre requires no prior knowledge, no judgment of right and wrong, no readings of certain texts. What it does need is faith in your own, entirely subjective perception! The drama department offers introductions 30 minutes before select performances as well as regular audience discussions with the actors following the performance for everyone who wants to learn or speak more about the theatre. English supertitles or English summaries as well as performances with audio descriptions can also be found in our programme.
XRT: TALK UNDER A VIRTUAL SKY
Our world is changing, and digital media and innovations are increasingly shaping our daily lives. What effect does this have on life, politics and art? In our series of discussions on the digital world, we explore the various aspects of our ever-changing reality alongside the XRT productions, each of which contains a specific type of technology that will be discussed. Admission is free, you only need a free ticket. The event is held in the XRT and is also streamed on Twitch.
