Die französische Sopranistin Véronique Gens, die ihre Karriere bei den Barockspezialisten William Christie, René Jacobs, Philippe Herreweghe und Christoph Rousset begann, gilt heute als eine der angesehensten Sängerinnen ihrer Generation. Internationale Engagements führen sie u. a. als Mozart-Interpretin an die wichtigsten europäischen Opernhäuser und Festivals, so die Salzburger Festspiele. Zusammen mit dem Dirigenten Hervé Niquet, dem Spezialisten für ausgefallene Programme, gestaltet Véronique Gens für die Gluck-Opern-Festspiele ein Konzert, das den musikalischen Bogen von Gluck über Mozart und Arriaga bis Berlioz spannt. Ein Abschlusskonzert der Extraklasse!

The French soprano Véronique Gens, who began her career with the Baroque specialists William Christie, René Jacobs, Philippe Herreweghe and Christoph Rousset, counts today as one of the most respected singers of her generation. As an interpreter of the works of Mozart, among others, international engagements have led her to the most important European opera houses and festivals, such as the Salzburg Festival. Together with the conductor Hervé Niquet, the specialist in unusual programmes, Véronique Gens has put together a concert for the Gluck Opera Festival which ranges from Gluck via Mozart and Arriaga to Berlioz. A concluding concert of a special class!
